Langsa-Universitas Samudra (Unsam) is organizing a Debriefing activity for Field Supervisors (DPL) and Students who will participate in Community Service Program (KKN) Period II in 2023. The opening ceremony was held in the Multipurpose Building Hall of Unsam on Tuesday (13/6/2023).

Representing the Chancellor of Universitas Samudra, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hamdani, M.T., IPM, the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ir. Cut Mulyani, M.P., officially inaugurated the activity. In her address, she emphasized that KKN is an essential part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, which includes Education, Research, and Community Service. She further stressed the significance of KKN in instilling a spirit of service and fostering exploratory and research skills among students. The Vice-Chancellor also encouraged students and lecturers to carry out the KKN diligently to enhance students’ abilities and achieve independence.

The Debriefing activity provides a valuable opportunity for students to engage in real-world experiences, contribute to the community, and apply their knowledge in practical settings. Through KKN, students can make meaningful contributions to society while further developing their skills and understanding of the world around them.

“Through KKN, we have the opportunity to apply science and technology collaboratively, emphasizing the importance of teamwork. Students from various study programs must work together to create programs that empower the community’s potential,” he added.
