Program Studi Ekonomi  Pembangunan (Development Economics Study Programs) at the Facultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis, Universitas Samudra, accredited with an “Excellent” rating by LAMEMBA, is committed to producing graduates with high competency in economics, ready to contribute as economists, analysts, researchers, and entrepreneurs. The study program’s curriculum is designed according to the National Higher Education Standards (SNDIKTI), with a research focus on “Tourism Economics, Marine and Coastal Economics.” This focus aligns with the local wisdom and geographical location of Samudra University, situated in the coastal region of Eastern Aceh—a region rich in coastal resources that remain underutilized and prioritized for regional development by the local government. To achieve this vision, the study program’s research direction prioritizes policy and development for the Eastern Aceh coastal area, integrated within various specialization concentrations, including public economics, regional economics, population economics, and monetary economics. All these concentrations are designed to provide a tangible contribution to the development and optimal utilization of coastal resource potential.
