Law

The Law Study Programme was established based on the Decree of the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture No. 87/M/2020, which replaced the Decree of the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture No. 494/EO/2012. The Law Study Programme aims to educate students to have competence in both theoretical and practical mastery of law for solving community problems. In the learning scheme, the Law Study Programme enhances the characteristics of local and coastal wisdom.

Research Direction

In order to carry out the characteristic values of both local and coastal wisdom, the research policy direction for lecturers and students of the Law Study Programme at the Faculty of Law, Samudra University, follows the theme ‘LAW & COASTAL STUDIES.’ Legal research under this theme is conducted to enhance the values of community life in general, and specifically on the East Coast of Aceh, related to the field of legal studies. This research is also a tangible manifestation of the academic responsibility to contribute to the improvement of legal knowledge for a better society.

 

Specialization Group

The Law Study Programme at the Faculty of Law, Samudra University, offers four areas of specialization that each student can choose as the focus of their studies: Civil Law, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, and Coastal Law and Small Island Management.
