Material. The theme selected for this occasion is the unresolved waste issue in Pusong Telaga Tujuh.
He further emphasized, “Before engaging with the community, we must first work on self-improvement because we serve as role models for the Pusong community we plan to visit. When we conduct outreach, we should focus on providing simulations, education, and demonstrating proper waste management practices. This way, the community will remember that there was once a Mapala student program that came to their area to address waste-related concerns.”
Mr. Zulfan also explained that in Aceh, there is a law that enforces Islamic Sharia, aligning with the hadith of Rasulullah SWT, which states “annadhafatul minal iman,” translating to cleanliness is an integral part of faith. This represents an Islamic concept that cannot be compromised. Thus, cleanliness is inherently regulated by how it is implemented within Islamic principles, and this will be applied in Aceh as well.
Concluding his speech, Mr. Zulfan emphasized the importance of ethics and manners when visiting other people’s places. He expressed the hope for the active participation of various parties, including the Langsa city government and stakeholders, especially in terms of funding, to ensure that this program can be carried out as envisioned.
