Langsa – A total of 972 New Students Candidates have been officially declared as graduates from various Study Programs at Universitas Samudra (Unsam) through the 2023 Test-Based National Selection (SNBT). This announcement was made by the National Committee for New Student Admissions, Educational Testing Management Center (SNPMB BPPP) on June 20, 2023, at 15:00 WIB.
Previously, it was documented that 1,882 New Student Candidates participants had taken the 2023 SNBT Computer-Based Writing Test (UTBK) at the UTBK Center of PTN Universitas Samudra from May 8th to May 14th, 2023, and on May 22nd, 2023.
Prof. Dr. Ir. Hamdani, M.T., IPM, the Chancellor of Universitas Samudra, conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to all the SNBT participants who successfully secured a place at State Universities, particularly at Universitas Samudra.
He expressed his joy by stating, “Congratulations to all the new students who have gained admission to Unsam. Alhamdulillah, this time we have seen an increase in the number of students choosing Unsam as their destination for further education. This accomplishment fills us with immense pride as an institution on the East Coast of Aceh.”
The Vice Chancellor of Unsam issued a reminder to the SNBT participants who have successfully passed, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the next selection stage’s guidelines as prescribed by the respective State University. This includes paying careful attention to key dates and fulfilling other graduation requirements, such as re-registration, submitting academic documents like report card photocopies, completing UKT forms, and so forth.
Additionally, the Deputy Chancellor highlighted that for participants who did not secure admission through the two previous national selection routes, namely the Achievement track (SNBP) and the test track (SNBT), there are still opportunities to pursue the Independent route. This avenue is known as the Independent Selection to Enter Indonesian State Universities, Western Region (SMM PTN-West 2023).
“For participants who have not succeeded in passing the two previous test, the Achievement path (SNBP) and UTBK-SNBT, don’t be disappointed, keep trying and stay enthusiastic, there are still opportunities to enter PTN through the Independent route, namely SMM PTN-Barat 2023, where registration can be done online,” he explained.
The PTN-Barat SMM was attended by 25 PTNs, both under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) and the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) spread across the western part of Java Island, Sumatra Island, and West Kalimantan Island.
Regarding the 2023 PTN-Barat SMM registration, it’s important to note that the registration period is open from May 8th to June 27th, 2023, with the final deadline for payment of registration fees being June 27, 2023, at 16:00 WIB. Additionally, make sure to print the registration card no later than June 28th, 2023, at 14:00 WIB.
